18 listopada 2022 r ukazał się piąty studyjny album kalifornijskiej formacji Ugly Kid Joe, "odpowiedzialnej" za takie hity lat '90 jak "Everything About You", czy "Cats In The Cradle". Dzieło zatytułowane "Rad Wings Of Destiny" przynosi ciekawą, ale dość zróżnicowaną dawkę muzyki, choć już nie tak grunge'ową jak kiedyś.
Tak jak informowałem wcześniej miesiąc temu ukazała się nowa płyta, pierwsza po powrocie na muzyczny rynek, zespołu Ugly Kid Joe. Niestety w mojej opinii, znając wcześniejsze dokonania grupy, tytuł nie do końca oddaje to co na płycie dostajemy.
Prawdę powiedziawszy, dużej mierze płytę ratują covery. I już na wstępie otrzymujemy "Hell Ain't Hard To Find" z motywem z utworu zespołu Foo Fighters. Pod koniec umieszczono jeszcze "Ace Of Spades" z repertuaru Motorhead i z Philem Cambellem z tejże kapeli na gitarze. A ostatni utwór to "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" nagrany pierwotnie przez Rare Earth. Do tego zestawu dodam jeszcze "She's Already Gone" przypominające mi nieco Velvet Revolver oraz "My Old Man" i "Under The Bottom" i to byłoby na tyle.
Moja ocena
As I wrote earlier a month ago Ugly Kid Joe released their new (and first after return) album. The title would suggest a bit what we may find on the album. But for me it is a little misunderstanding as I know what they recorded before.
Honestly, covers saving the album in big part. And already at beginning we got "Hell Ain't Hard To Find" with Foo Fighters song theme. In ending part there's "Ace Of Spades" from Motorhead and with Phil Campbell from it on guitar. And the last is "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" originally recorded by Rare Earth. Adding to it "She's Already Gone" sound a bit like Velvet Revolver and "My Old Man" and "Under The Bottom" make full list of bit interesting compossitions.

Pamiętacie z lat 90-tych grunge'ową kapelę UKJ? Otóż nadchodzą z nową płytą. Album "Uglier Than They Used Ta Be" zapowiedziany jest na 16 października (October 16th).
